Ava's Bouquet

Just wanted to post a wedding bouquet I made for a bride in August. It just so happened to be the opening weekend at the CNE that day so delivery at the Liberty Grande was on the insane side, but regardless I loved the bouquets. I didn't have a chance to take photos of the bridesmaid bouquets (they were baby's breath, en masse), but I had to make time for the bridal bouquet, which I made out of local dahlias, pink astilbe, pink and cream tea roses and wax flowers. Congrats Ava!

Fuschia Flowers at the Estates of Sunnybrook

I haven't had a chance to post all the weddings i've had the honor of creating flowers for this past season, but I happened to have a small window of time to crack down on the backlog. Here's a look at a wedding I decorated at the lovely Estates of Sunnybrook in Toronto. What's nice about it is you dont need so many decorations as it is already a beautifully appointed room.

I created two large alter pieces, and to add some drama, sprinkled rose petals at the microphone stand. As unattractive as AV equipment is, most of the time you can't hide it, so might as well make it pretty!

 I created this signing table arrangement using fuschia roses, hydrangeas, and tinted ranunculus.

 I didnt get a chance to take photos of all the decoration I made as the guests came quickly, but here are some rental tea light stands and mini arrangements used on the cocktail tables.

 The bride wanted a vintage theme with birdcages, so I laid fresh moss on the bottom of these birdcages, with bouquets of flowers.


Last but not least, here's the bride's bouquet, with fuschia roses, ranunculus, tinted hydrangeas and pink double lisianthus.

Xenia and Derek's Wedding Flowers (Purple and Green)

For this wedding, the bride and groom had a very vibrant purple and green theme color combination. To soften up the look, I suggested adding cream hydrangeas. I also used coolwater roses, lime and mauve cymbidium orchids, blush coloured roses and green hypercium berries.

 Here are the lush and lovely bouquets waiting to be picked up by the groom himself! (You can opt not to have them delivered).  Such a fresh combination for a cold november day! Congratulations Xenia and Derek!

Celebrate Beautifully Goes Peach & Celadon!

It was an absolute joy to create the bouquets and decor for the wedding of my friends Mark and Harmony. The colour palette was peach, celadon, cream and pink and the result was a soft, romantic and beautiful garden wedding in the middle of october right before the big storm! The venue was Calvin Presbyterian Church in Toronto and One King West for the reception. Congrats!

The bride shared my love of ribbons and ruffles, so I created this bouquet handle with a bit of lace peaking through the bottom to match her dress.



I created the grooms boutonniere with roses and lambs ear.

Celebrate Beautifully's Latest Wedding - Cream & Mauve Colors

I know it has been a very long time since I last posted but I wanted to share some photos of the wedding that I created the bouquets and florals for this past weekend. Very soon i'll be posting up my new website and portfolio, so stay tuned!

Beautiful pink garden roses, lisianthus and cream vendela roses.

I think this is one of my favourite bouquets of all time! The bride wanted an all cream bouquet so I created one out of vendela roses, blush garden roses, freesia, lisianthus and calla lilies.

I created these two large alter arrangements using cream hydrangeas, purple hydrangeas, dahlias and cream roses

Birds of A Feather Bouquet & Bonus Boutonniere

This is probably my favourite bouquet to date. Featuring lilac roses, a purple hydrangea, blush dahlias, freesia and ranunculus with a golden bird perched a top. Included is a complimentary matching boutonniere with two gold feathers.

The bird is removable!

Something Blue

Dress: A bolder statement of "Something Blue": a blue bodice confection by Oscar de la Renta (Fall 2011 collection)
Cocktails: Blue colored cocktails with sprigs of mint and parasols from Martha Stewart
Bouquet: A bundle of brightly hued ranunculus is wrapped with a blue satin ribbon by Bloomin Buckets. Bridal Handkerchief: The bride holds another traditional "something blue" item given to her by Darcy Miller- a custom embroidered handkerchief. You can purchase white bridal handkerchiefs to embroider at the Linenbranch.

Color Themes- Blue & Yellow

Though one might think of blue and yellow as a colour combination from the 60's, it can be classic and elegant with the right mix of white.
